Moodie Davitt Video View: Gloria Dix shines the light on Victorinox’s multi-category portfolio

SINGAPORE. In our new series Moodie Davitt Video View, we bring you exclusive on-the-ground coverage from the most innovative brands in travel retail straight from the industry’s most important events.

In this edition filmed at the recent TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore, The Moodie Davitt Report Brands Director Hannah Tan-Gillies catches up with Victorinox Head of Global Travel Retail and Fragrance Sales Gloria Dix, who highlights the brand’s multi-category portfolio.

As reported, Dix took over the role in January when the Swiss lifestyle brand merged its Global Travel Retail and Global Fragrances Sales divisions to bolster both business units with a view towards mid- to long-term growth.

Since her appointment, Dix has been a strong champion for women in travel retail. Her recent guest column on The Moodie Davitt Report celebrated Victorinox’s flourishing female fragrance team and outlined how the company strives to empower women to become leaders both inside and outside the organisation.

Women lead the way in the Victorinox fragrance team
As a mom and a leader within Victorinox, Dix knows a thing or two about how women juggle different roles in their lives and careers

Commenting on Victorinox’s first appearance with a stand at the Singapore show, Dix said: “Victorinox is a Swiss brand and we are proud of our roots. We’re very global and have a very dynamic multi-category product portfolio.

“Our Swiss Army knife is the core of our brand but we also carry watches, travel gear and fragrances and are perfectly set up to cater to a very diverse customer all over the globe.

“We have so many things to offer and we’re very happy to be back after a long time. It’s an important milestone for us to be in Singapore and with a stand, which is a great showcase of our vast product portfolio.

“For example, our Travel Gear collection is specifically made for the Asia Pacific region. We always love to connect with our different brand partners, suppliers and different suppliers.”
