Morgan & Oates takes the wraps off new designs for Singapore

Morgan & Oates is underlining its use of natural fibres in new travel retail exclusive designs on display at next week’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore (Stand: B2/J33).

Morgan & Oates’ new lines include the 10% Cashmere/90% Modal wrap, which has a recommended onboard retail price of approximately €85. The wrap, described as fine, lightweight and soft to touch, is available in natural designs including a Multi-scale Block Check in lilac/pink, camellia/ultramarine and pink/cypress; a Square Block Check in aqua/lilac, pink/tan; and a Warp Stripe in camellia/cream and ‘saxe’ blue/cream.

Floral themes and a focus on natural materials are key sales points for Morgan & Oates in Singapore

The 10% Cashmere/90% Merino range of wraps offers new designs every season. For 2016/17 Morgan & Oates said floral themes are key, with a “modern twist” added to designs. New styles include the Three Colour Lily, slate/pink, apricot/peach, yellow/orange or teal/brown, which are all on a soft cream base, and Check Floral in marine/teal and coral/burgundy.

Other options include Shaded Abstract Petal, available in colours including blue/purple, olive/rust and navy/burgundy, and Abstract Floral, with colours such as blue/black, cerise/lilac, olive and coral. Stripe and herringbone designs, all exclusive to travel retail, are also featured.

The Raindrop black/brown design, one of the brand’s bestsellers, is offered in grey, pink and lilac. The range features new stripe designs with a coloured border including black/white with red border; grey/cream with blue border; and grey/cream with pink border.

New colour combinations and designs extend Morgan & Oates’ travel retail exclusive range

Herringbone designs in different shades of blue grey/pink, rust/grey and teal/turquoise complete the Heritage offer for 2016. Measuring 60 x 180cm, onboard price points range from €55 to €59.

Morgan & Oates said new designs in its 100% Made In UK Cashmere range aim to widen market appeal in onboard sales. The range for women includes the ‘toledo coral’, a lilac lavender square. A lavender/purple graduation stripe is a new version of one of Morgan & Oates most popular scarves, which was previously available in a grey/ cream combination.

Unisex designs include a navy/denim square; light blue/denim check; and grey monochrome check. A monochrome check, monochrome squares, and charcoal light grey fine check target male consumers.

The scarves are manufactured in the UK from 100% pure Cashmere, dyed using natural colours, and measure 180 x 25cm. Recommend retail price is €130.

Morgan & Oates said it is determined to use the Singapore show to underline the benefits of natural fibres over synthetic ones. It also intends to emphasise company qualities, which include its exclusivity to travel retail.

In Singapore, the brand is inviting buyers visiting its stand to enter a prize draw to win a 100% Cashmere ladies stole, with a retail value of €250 to €290.

Morgan & Oates Sales Director Kevin Galbraith said: “Morgan & Oates offers a number of unique selling propositions over other suppliers.”
