Motta Internacional’s new duty free identity ‘attenza’ will be a symbol for excellence, says the retailer


PANAMA. Motta Internacional has announced the launch of “˜attenza’, a new commercial identity for its duty free stores. The launch coincided with the opening of the company’s four new stores at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport.

Motta said that attenza was one element in its strategy to differentiate itself from other retailers in the region. The attenza logo is composed of five different coloured shopping bags, which represent the variety of products Motta carries in its stores. The bags are in the form of a star which aims to represent the main attribute of attenza, namely “˜outstanding attention’.

Motta Internacional CEO Erasmo Orillac said: “This new identity represents a promise that we offer all of our customers every day when they enter into any one of our stores: Outstanding Attention. Passengers will find the products they are looking for along with the attention and customer care they deserve at each attenza store”.

Motta Internacional Executive Vice President Carlos Motta said: “attenza is more than just a logo, it’s a culture. We have created a programme specially designed to reinforce the passion for service in everyone throughout our organisation. attenza will reposition Motta Internacional’s travel retail business, and this new logo will very soon be a symbol for excellence ”

The attenza concept is being presented first to the general public at Tocumen International Airport, and stores in other countries will undergo the image change during the first quarter of 2008.

Motta Internacional currently owns, operates and supplies duty free stores in Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, St Maarten, Mexico and Venezuela.
