Multi-talented actors help launch Rémy Martin Cognac’s new global campaign

On target: Actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers film franchise, is helping to launch the new campaign

A celebration of the multi-faceted nature of today’s consumers is the central theme of Rémy Martin Cognac’s newly-launched global campaign.

It features the tagline “˜One Life/Live Them’ which is intended to show that consumers are not defined by one talent or skill and should instead be applauded for their many passions.

The brand says it is hoping to encourage “consumers to explore and celebrate all their talents” and “live richer, larger lives”. Rémy Martin has partnered with actors Jeremy Renner and Huang Xiaoming for the campaign, with the pair said to embody its philosophy.

Renner is a two-time Academy Award nominee and is known for his roles in The Avengers, The Hurt Locker and The Bourne Legacy. However, his multi-faceted nature is evidenced in his creation of a production outfit, the fact that he is an accomplished singer and musician, and in that he has turned a hobby in home renovation into a successful business.

Xiaoming is likewise multi-talented, and in addition to acting is also known as a musician, model, philanthropist and environmental ambassador.

Rémy Martin CEO Eric Vallat said: “This is a new chapter in the history of Rémy Martin, and we’re delighted to be working with two personalities who perfectly embody the lifestyle that we are celebrating.”

Renner stated: “I am excited to work with this iconic brand and to help launch this new campaign. The story of how to live your life really resonates with me personally. I think to fully realise one’s potential you must take action, remain curious, embrace your failures as they are gifts, and honour your successes with humility. We are all many things and cannot and should not be defined by one thing, which is truly awesome.”

Rémy Martin launched the new campaign simultaneously in Cognac, France, and in New York City, US, on 20 October, and in Shanghai on 23 October.
