Nadine Heubel, pictured here at The Smile Train charity dinner in Hong Kong which she co-organised, is a “fantastic addition” to the Gebr Heinemann team says Christophe Neusser |
GERMANY. Nadine Heubel, Head of Travel Retail since 2002, is to leave Hugo Boss on 7 March.
In a letter to The Moodie Report announcing her departure, International Sales Director Dr Gerrit Rützel said: “I would like to thank Nadine for her very successful work and great commitment to the company. Nadine made a considerable contribution to the development of Hugo Boss in travel retail over the past few years.
“We are sorry to see her go but she leaves behind a strong and experienced team and she has well positioned the company in the travel retail market for future business competition.”
He added: “We would like to wish Nadine all the best and a lot of success for her professional and private life.”
An announcement regarding her successor will be made in due course, he said. The Moodie Report will advise of Nadine’s intentions at the appropriate time.
Martin Moodie writes: It’s a tribute to the immense respect and popularity that Nadine enjoys in the industry that within minutes of this story first appearing, The Moodie Report had received numerous calls checking on her wellbeing. Here is an executive who has contributed immensely to a brand’s reputation and standing as well as to its success. Besides walking and talking – and wearing – Hugo Boss, Nadine has always acted with impeccable personal integrity, grace and humility in all her dealings. Any future employer can only stand to benefit from having her as part of its team.
Nadine also played a pivotal role in the success of the fund-raising campaign for The Smile Train conducted last year by Hugo Boss and The Moodie Report. Without her goodwill and go-ahead the project would not have been the success it was. We suspect she will not be lost to travel retail; but for now we should simply salute both her achievements and her persona, which have combined with great impact to the benefit of her company, her clients and the channel.
