Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) is launching a range of products from its key KitKat, Smarties and Nestlé Swiss brands into the Americas market.
NITR General Manager Stewart Dryburgh said the products underline the company’s commitment to leading innovation in the travel retail confectionery category.

Dryburgh noted NITR’s “overall positive” performance in North America in the past year and problems related to Latin American market hit by the negative impact of currency crises in the region.
“We hold a positive outlook for 2019… Our clear focus at NITR is to deliver insight-based innovation,” Dryburgh said.
NITR will highlight products which underline its SOUL strategic framework, and are new to the Americas, at this month’s Summit of the Americas (Celebration Room 13).
KitKat Senses includes Mini Moments, Collection and Mini Desserts which features four flavours – Tiramisu, Crème Brulée, Strawberry Cheesecake and Cherry Brownie – to target sharing and gifting. The Senses range features an upgraded visual identity with the red ‘K’ in triangles and designs on the packaging.

A KitKat Chunky gift pack of Milk, Hazelnut, Peanut Butter and Mixed flavours comes in limited-edition packaging, inspired by the 1990s. The packs include questions ‘Remember how much desk space your computer took up?’ and ‘Remember how high your platform shoes were?’.
NITR said it has used child development insights and a learning archetype scoring system that guides parents through appropriate gift selection in the development of new Smarties lines.
Smarties Music Creator acknowledges the importance of active and imaginative play in children’s development. It includes a recorder and music sheet, along with a 38g hexatube of Smarties.

As reported, the travel retail-exclusive Nestlé Swiss range was relaunched last year to target millennial travellers. Three new flavours – Milk with Cranberries Almonds Hazelnut, Milk with Grapes Almonds Hazelnut, and Dark with Orange Zest & Cacao Nibs – extend the Nestlé Swiss 195g Tablet range.
Nestlé Swiss Assorted Box contains 20 chunks in five flavours: Milk, Dark, Hazelnut, Milk with biscuit cereals and Blond almond.
