The Neuhaus concept store at Düsseldorf Airport offers the brand’s popular ballotins alongside many gift ideas |
BELGIUM/THE NETHERLANDS. Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus opened a new store at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport last month, boosting its retail presence at the Dutch gateway.
The company began trading during May from a 35sq m space in Terminal 3 in conjunction with its partner Schiphol Airport Retail. The new store incorporates a counter selling loose chocolates and offers a variety of boxed chocolates for gifting. Neuhaus already has a store in T1 (the Schengen terminal) at the airport.
The latest Schiphol shop opening adds to the inauguration of a 35sq m Neuhaus store at Düsseldorf Airport in March 2011.
Neuhaus celebrated the new Schiphol shop during the TFWA Asia Pacific show, where the company showcased a variety of novelties, including the addition of a Singapore box to its City Collection. The destination-themed boxed chocolates feature iconic images on the front of the pack for each location covered. Moscow and Hawaii are also among the newly released items, with more to come, Neuhaus Director International Sales Philip Geeraert told The Moodie Report.
Introduced in February 2011, the new Neuhaus Collection of six gift boxes includes the Belgian brand’s Les Irrésistibles chocolates in luxurious packaging with silver edging.
