Launch: Neuhaus has created a new line of chocolates aimed at self-indulgence and impulse purchasing. The Indulge Collection will be available in the duty free channel from August.
Details: The collection comprises five boxes of different Neuhaus chocolates: The Irrésistibles, The Cornets, The Manons, The Classics and The Dark Delights.
The Irrésistibles is a five-piece assortment of two Neuhaus pralines created especially for the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels:
• Caprice – a nougatine filled with Madagascar vanilla fresh cream and coated with dark chocolate; and
• Tentation – a nougatine filled with a coffee ganache and coated with milk chocolate.
The Cornets is a five-piece assortment of gianduja chocolates in three flavours:
• Cornet Doré – hazelnut gianduja;
• Cornet Caramel/Feuilletine – hazelnut gianduja with pieces of feuilletine and Caramel d’Isigny; and
• Cornet Crunchy – hazelnut gianduja with pieces of hazelnut.
The Manons is named after Jean Neuhaus’ daughter, a renowned opera singer who starred as Manon Lescaut in the opera Manon written by Jules Massenet. This six-piece box contains two Manons of each flavour:
• Manon Lait – fresh cream with praliné and caramelised hazelnuts coated with milk chocolate;
• Manon Noir – dark chocolate mousse coated with dark chocolate; and
• Manon Choco Vanille – vanilla fresh cream from Madagascar with pecan nut on top.
The Classics is an assortment of six chocolates:
• Galerie – ganache with caramel and a touch of “˜fleur de sel’ de Guérande, French sea salt on a layer of praline;
• Coeur Praliné – almond and hazelnut praline;
• Albert – hazelnut praline with a roasted and caramelised hazelnut;
• Cornet Doré – hazelnut gianduja;
• Passion Amande – praline with caramelised almonds and a pinch of sea salt; and
• Art Nouveau – dark ganache with a hint of grilled hazelnuts.
The Dark Delights is a box of six chocolates coated in dark chocolate:
• Art Nouveau – dark ganache with a hint of grilled hazelnuts;
• Art Déco – almond praline with nougat inclusions;
• Galerie – ganache with caramel and a touch of “˜fleur de sel’ de Guérande, French sea salt on a layer of praline;
• Jean – ganache with strong dark chocolate from Peru;
• Suzanne – raspberry ganache on a layer of praline decorated with pieces of raspberry; and
• Satan – almond and hazelnut praline with caramelised hazelnut pieces.
