CHINA. Reports from China reveal the 25 December opening of the first downtown duty free shop in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province in central China.
The East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone reportedly offers over 6,000 types of imported products ranging from wine, baby milk powder and fresh foodstuffs to luxury items.
Pictures carried by state-owned website CRJ English.com show long queues of expectant shoppers lining up to purchase a wide array of goods.
Wuhan, a major transportation hub, is the most populous city in Central China.
