EUROPE. The European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC) today reelected Nigel Keal as President for a further one-year term, following a virtual Annual General Meeting.
Alongside President Nigel Keal, the Managing Board includes Gebr Heinemann Director Corporate Affairs & Compliance Jennifer Cords, TFWA Vice President Commercial Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume, ARI Director of Retail Ireland Paul Neeson, Benelux Travel Retail Association President Jacques Parson and Viking Line Sales & Purchasing Manager Beauty & Fashion Eva Rehnström.
At the meeting ETRC members heard an update on various campaigns, including ‘Destination Summer’, the campaign for arrivals duty free and labelling issues.
Keal said: “I am extremely pleased to accept this nomination to serve as President of ETRC for another year. The past year has been a tough one for the industry and has highlighted the crucial role that trade associations such as ETRC play in defending our sector in crisis times, and in that respect, we are immensely grateful for the support of our members during this period. I am looking forward to working closely with the Managing and Supervisory boards of ETRC, the national associations, ETRC’s corporate members and the wider industry in the year ahead.”
Keal thanked outgoing Vice-President François Bourienne, who has moved to a new role outside the region. As reported, Bourienne was recently named Chief Commercial Officer & Executive Committee Member at Abu Dhabi Airports, operator of Abu Dhabi International Airport.
