Nio Cocktails makes American travel retail debut with DFS Group

Needs Ice Only: Nio Cocktails, a ready-made solution for cocktail making, now on shelves with DFS in North America

US. Ready-made cocktail brand Nio Cocktails has made its American travel retail debut with DFS Group. The brand is now available in Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and New York JFK Airport.

Nio Cocktails, which stands for ‘Needs Ice Only’, is represented in the channel by GMAX Travel Retail.

The brand was founded on the idea of offering customers ready-made cocktails in a box without the need for specialist knowledge, ingredients or bar implements.

Founded by Luca Quagliano and Alessandro Palmarin, Nio Cocktails offers 14 flavours ranging from classic mixes to signature house infusions.

Customers can craft their own cocktail box with three, six or nine flavours. Each expression is packaged in its own sleeve.

In a LinkedIn post, GMAX Travel Retail Director Garry Maxwell commented: “Fantastic news with a superb product concept. Looking forward to developing [Nio Cocktails] more into travel retail.”
