Nokia Towers: Terminal 5 features seven digital media promotional sites designed to showcase Finnish electronics brand Nokia |
UK. Nokia has unveiled seven digital promotional sites built into London Heathrow Airport’s new Terminal 5, emphasising the terminal’s hi-tech ambience.
The media sites – dubbed Nokia Towers – are located in the Departures area, and aim to increase passenger awareness of the electronics brand. Passengers can then see Nokia products in the company’s flagship store after check-in.
The seven 48sq m media sites are located on each of the five pillars situated across the terminal, some featuring media on both sides.
Using high-resolution LED technology, the towers showcase diverse content in line with the Finnish company’s ‘Connecting People’ slogan.
BAA Retail Head of Sponsorship and Experience Charles Byrne said: “Designed and built into the architecture of the building, these large, powerful, flexible sites will not only allow Nokia to interact with our passengers – the world’s most affluent, international mass audience – but positively add to the excitement of the terminal and their overall experience.”
