UK. The Nuance Group has upgraded its retail offer at the purpose-built shopping area of Bristol International Airport’s new terminal.

Brands introduced recently include Chanel, Sony electronics, Cutty Sark scotch whisky, Gucci, Ted Baker and Guess.

The group introduced its “˜Travel Shopping’ concept at the new terminal in March 2000. The shop, which occupies 440sq m (4,740sq ft) of floor space, features a mini shopping centre with nine shops-in-shops selling a large variety of products.

MD UK/Eire/Netherlands John Brocklebank said: “Our “˜Travel Shopping’ concept first introduced in Bristol has won us international recognition. The refurbishment has provided the shop with a significantly more spacious look and increased our retail selling space by 20%. The new layout allows customers to see through to the back of the store even from the outside, thus creating transparency and a new, open look.”

Bristol International Airport Retail and Concessions Director Chris Martin said: “Nuance’s “˜Travel Shopping’ concept has worked well at Bristol, providing customers with big brands and a wide range of products all under one roof. The expansion enables us to provide our growing number of passengers with more choice and even more top brands, with the new design and layout creating a far more pleasant and open space that is inviting our customers to shop.”
