Nuance captures the spirit of Christmas at Zurich |
SWITZERLAND. The Nuance Group is celebrating the holiday season at Zurich Airport with an opulent Christmas Market. Located at the Airside Center’s main promotion area, it features all the elements typically found in downtown department stores during the festive season: ceiling-high Christmas trees, gifting products from all categories; special price offers designed to tempt customers; and 30,000 stuffed bears and reindeer for customers to take home as an extra treat for just CHF7.50 with any purchase over CHF50.
The Nuance Group Zurich General Manager Janneke de Bruijn explained: “It was a pleasure to work on this Christmas promotion. Once we started off, everyone involved became really enthusiastic about bringing the winter and Christmas season theme into the airport, and our staff love the decoration.
“Being based in the Swiss Alps, our interpretation naturally involved a mountain theme with a sledge and a true winter feeling, supported by photographs of the beautiful Swiss mountain scenery provided by Swiss Tourism.”
The Nuance Group Europe Buying & Merchandising Director Alex Anson and his team worked hard to source an attractive selection of products for the seasonal promotions. “The offer comprises products from all categories,” he noted, “and we are using different incentives to tempt customers.
“We actively communicate our Best Price Guarantee, making customers aware of the price advantage in duty free; there are fantastic promotions on leading brands such as Moët, Lindt and Hugo Boss. [We have] industry leading footfall drivers such as Jacquart Champagne or Goldkenn chocolate at half price; our Luxury Christmas Market including products from across our categories; and, last but not least, our Christmas Teddy designed to drive shopping theatre, average transaction value and overall sales in our stores.”
The Christmas promotion, developed by the Zurich organisation and the European buying team, has also been rolled out to other destinations within Europe including Stockholm-Arlanda and Malta, where it will run until 5 January.
