Nuance opens first Acqua di Parma travel retail corner at Zürich Airport

The Acqua di Parma area is a first for the brand owner at an airport

SWITZERLAND. Italian beauty brand Acqua di Parma has opened its first travel retail corner at Zürich Airport with The Nuance Group.

The branded corner is strategically located on Level 2, at the entrance to Nuance’s duty free walk-through store, among other selected luxury brands.

The brand’s main collections are available, from men’s to women’s fragrances, with names such as Le Nobili, Blu Mediterraneo and the Home Fragrance collection.

Acqua di Parma President Gabriella Scarpa said: “We are glad to partner The Nuance Group for the opening of our first corner in travel retail in Europe. We chose Zürich Airport and the prestigious location at Nuance Duty Free Level 2, because they are mirrors of the brand’s landside market strategy, of a careful, cherry-picked selection, of high-end points of sale and of excellent service to the consumer.

“Acqua di Parma is an international lifestyle brand loved by people able to perceive the high quality of our Italian lifestyle collections and nothing is better than an international airport like Zürich to concentrate a cosmopolitan group of people with high expectations when travelling either for business or leisure.”

Management from Zürich Airport, The Nuance Group and Acqua di Parma salute the opening

The Nuance Group CEO Europe Andrea Belardini added: “The opening of the Acqua di Parma corner constitutes a landmark in our endeavours to deliver a unique shopping experience for our travelling consumers. Since the opening of the walk-through stores in Zürich the beauty category has showed significant growth and we have seen growing appreciation for luxury products.

“The launch of Aqua di Parma not only represents a great addition to satisfy the needs of our discerning customers, but it also demonstrates our strong drive for innovation. We want to bring great brands to consumers, and it is extremely encouraging that a brand like Acqua di Parma has chosen Nuance to enter the travel retail market.”

In a statement, the partners said: “The essential design and elegant wengé wood helps create a luxurious ambience. Thin fabric crests, bearing the brand’s royal shield, create a feeling of elegance. An inspiring picture-sculpture shows a pyramid made of bottles of Colonia – the brand’s iconic fragrance – similar to a three-dimensional mosaic.”
