Mac makes its debut: the iconic makeup brand opens for business at Hong Kong International Airport |
HONG KONG. Nuance-Watson (HK) has joined forces with leading professional make-up brand MAC to launch the first MAC boutique at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
The 35sq m store features 600 skus of colour cosmetics, the largest collection available under a single brand concept at HKIA. It lies in a stand-alone location next to the Temptation mega-beauty store in HKIA’s East Hall. Nuance-Watson (HK) said the MAC boutique would benefit from high profile passenger movement because of its adjacency to the Temptation outlet.

Illuminated by two eye-catching white-coloured ceiling light bars and rails of spotlights, the newly opened MAC boutique’s design closely resembles a high-class make-up studio, said Nuance-Watson.
“Once inside, customers are transported to a stage where they can transform themselves into “mega stars” while indulging in MAC’s wealth of impossibly colourful choices,” said the retailer. “The studio ambience is further reinforced by the installation of a full height illuminated dressing table and a Director’s chair.”
The boutique offers a broad range of colour make-up choices plus accessories and travel retail sets such as Lip & Eye palettes. In keeping with MAC’s global social initiative programmes, the new outlet also offers VIVA Glam products, all sales proceeds from which enable the MAC AIDS Fund to help those living with HIV or AIDS.
