SINGAPORE. Nuance-Watson (Singapore) celebrated the Chinese New Year with a traditional lion dance performance and festive giveaways at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 this week.
“The lion dance performance is now a must-do “˜tradition’ for us here at Nuance-Watson Singapore,” said Operations Manager Jessie Koh.
“Back in the days when we first started our operations at Changi Airport we were the very first to organise this. To us, the performance has evolved into one that is not just for the sheer purpose of ushering in good luck, but to generate buzz and interaction with the passengers as well.”
The performance also serves to boost staff morale, as it is believed to bring in more sales, Koh added.
During the performance Nuance-Watson gave away S$8 shopping vouchers – the number eight signifies “˜fortune’ to the Chinese – which can be redeemed against any item in its Perfumes & Cosmetics stores; no minimum purchase is required.
Small gifts such as notepads and miniatures as well as candies were also given away to passengers, elevating the festive atmosphere in the terminal.
