
INTERNATIONAL. Luxury cruise company Explora Journeys, sister company to MSC Cruises, has unveiled a new retail experience onboard the Explora 1 cruise ship.
Themed The Journey, the experience is inspired by the company’s ‘Ocean State of Mind’ ethos and influenced by the ship’s itineraries.
Designed to redefine the shopping experience at sea, The Journey offers more than 30 sustainable and ethically responsible artisanal brands. These include exclusively designed pieces for Explora Journeys and special items only available onboard Explora 1.
The opening underscores Explora Journeys’ strategy to partner only with brands that mirror its commitment to sustainable practices and environmental consciousness.

The Journey is the first retail offer at sea to seek partners with accredited eco-credentials. These include accreditations such as B Corp Certification and The Butterfly Mark, to guarantee a holistic sustainable offer onboard.
The offer includes a curated selection of fragrances, skincare, ready-to-wear, accessories, homeware and gifts plus food and drink brands that reflect Explora Journey’s focus on niche, sustainable, artisanal brands with a local flavour.

The Journey concept was born in Geneva and stays true to its European heritage by offering a selection of niche Swiss brands. Names include Caran d’Ache, Dr. Levy, Pink Maharani and Zimmerli.
A sensorial fragrance and skincare offer includes several niche brands such as Fueguia 1833, Memo Paris, Floraïku, Room 1015, Le Jardin Retrouvé, PH Fragrances, Une Nuit Nomade, Luce di Sorrento, Dr. Levy, and Soley Organics.
Ready-to-wear brands include Kampos, North Sails, Allagiulia, Save The Duck and Waimari. Pink Maharani, Aaks, Fold, Borsalino, Moscot, L.G.R and Maui Jim make up the accessories and sunglasses offer.
The Journey’s homeware and gifting selection includes Bottega Conticelli, Assouline, Loqi and The Bespoke Company. The food offer is crafted in partnership with Explora Journeys’ Culinary Team to showcase the local delicacies of the countries featured in each of the ship’s itineraries. ✈
