Origins’ natural new peeling treatment |
US. Origins has unveiled the Brighter By Nature High Potency Brightening Peel, which is rolling out in travel retail this month. The at-home treatment, which features fruit acids, is claimed to rival the restoring benefits of a professional 30% glycolic peel by instantly exfoliating dead surface cells to restore a look of clarity, but without the potential redness, lengthy recovery time and high cost that visiting a dermatologist entails.
The Brighter By Nature formula incorporates a selection of powerful skin-tone correcting ingredients. “The signature complex of goji berry, blueberry, cranberry, pomegranate and grape seed extracts, as well as fruit acids derived from coconuts and salicylic acid, stimulate a fast exfoliation of damaged and dead surface skin cells and thereby instantly help to correct the look of surface damage,” explained Dr. Lieve Declercq, Origins Global Spokesperson of Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology.
Additionally, scutellaria root, apple extract and cucumber extract help even the look of skin tone, while Japanese basil leaf, aloe and caffeine provide visible soothing and calming benefits, according to the brand.
Designed for use on all skin types with the exception of sensitive skin, the Brighter By Nature peel is oil-free and works with skin’s individual pH. To use, consumers should sweep one pad over the face, avoiding eyes and mouth, twice per week after cleansing and drying.
There are 40 pads per jar, which provide twenty full weeks of treatment when used twice a week. The pads are made from 75% rayon, a natural fibre sourced from plant-based cellulose.
