MALAYSIA. OurShop has partnered with retail organisation J&S Group as AirAsia’s ecommerce platform continues to grow its footprint in Malaysia.
The strategic partnership allows both international and domestic passengers travelling through Subang Skypark, Penang International and Langkawi International to purchase exclusive travel retail items through ourshop.com and collect them at the respective airports.
J&S Group has a large retail presence in Subang Skypark with stores including Jet Set Go, which offers branded luggage; Chocolate Box; and Flamenco, which retails perfumes. The company also operates Watch Stars and Chocolate Box at Penang International and a luggage store at Langkawi International.
OurShop Chief Merchant Officer Raj Daswani said the platform was aiming to further strengthen its position in the travel retail market in Malaysia to encompass passengers from other airlines.
“Our partnership with J&S Group proves that we can be a marketplace for all travellers and aligns with our strategies to support more local businesses by providing a platform to market their products online and provide a unique shopping experience for travellers,” said Daswani. “This partnership also comes at the right time as we are able to leverage on [tourism campaign] Visit Malaysia 2020.”

Now travellers have the convenience to shop online through ourshop.com and at the same time experience the store offline when they collect the items. OurShop users can already collect their items at Eraman duty free outlets in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 [KLIA2]; Aelia Duty Free at Melbourne’s Avalon Airport; Lagardère Hong Kong at Hong Kong International Airport; Plaza Bali at Soekarno Hatta International Airport Jakarta; Manila’s T3 International Terminal in the Philippines; and selected airports in India. Travellers can also shop online and collect their products onboard AirAsia flights with the inflight delivery option.
