Wild Tiger Rum is launching a coconut-flavoured rum on the Americas market.
Wild Tiger Coco will make its debut at this month’s Summit of the Americas, featured on the stand of Wild Tiger’s US travel retail distributor, Haleybrooke International (Booth 501/507).
Wild Tiger Coco rum liqueur is the third variant from the Wild Tiger Rum brand, following Special Reserve dark rum and the Indian Spiced rum.
According to Wild Tiger Rum Founder and Chief Brand Officer Gautom Menon, the expression is the first rum-based liqueur from India. It is produced in Kerala state, which is dubbed ‘Coconut Paradise’ – hence the liqueur’s ‘Paradise just got more accessible’ catchline. The line extension has a 21%ABV with the 1-litre bottle carrying a US$19 RRP.
In keeping with the other Wild Tiger variants, the rum is presented in a hand-crafted furry bottle. Menon said no two bottles are the same.
“A variant like this has been long overdue,” he said.
He underlined the importance of the Americas for the rum market. “This region is the epicentre of rum in every sense. Buyers and consumers understand the rum category better than anywhere else in the world; elsewhere genuine understanding is still in a nascent stage.”
Menon said Wild Tiger is also “bullish” on the cruise industry. “After all, rum has always had a great connection with maritime life, and this region is the hub of the cruise industry,” he added.

As a part of its core CSR policy, Wild Tiger donates 10% of profits towards Tiger Conservation in South India via the non-profit Wild Tiger Foundation.
As reported, Menon and Wild tiger Creative Designer Paul George are planning a 65-day road trip from India to TFWA World Exhibition (29 September-4 October) in Cannes, France later this year to increase awareness of tiger conservation.
