FRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. Passenger traffic at the two major Paris airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly, fell by -98% year-on-year in the first two weeks in April, Groupe ADP has reported.
At Paris Charles de Gaulle, since 30 March only terminals A, C, 2E Hall K and 2F are open, while commercial traffic at Orly has been suspended since 1 April.
The company announced the latest figures as it reported March and Q1 traffic. Paris airport passenger volumes fell by -58.5% year-on-year in March to 3.6 million. Within this, traffic at Paris Charles de Gaulle was down by -58.5% to 2.5 million and Orly traffic fell -58.7% to 1.1 million in the month.
Since the beginning the year Groupe ADP total traffic is down by -10.1% to 44.5 million passengers and Paris Aéroport passenger traffic has seen a fall of -20.9%, to 18.8 million passengers.
Across the Groupe ADP network, only three airports in the TAV Airports portfolio (46.1% owned by ADP) are open to commercial flights (Ankara, Antalya and Izmir) and only partially. The other airports, with the exception of Liege Airport, are either closed or subject to severe operational constraints.
Passenger traffic at TAV Airports decreased by -79% in March and -63.2% since the beginning of the year.
Passenger traffic at Santiago de Chile Airport, 45%-owned by Groupe ADP, decreased by -41.6% in March and has decreased by -12.5% since 1 January.
Passenger traffic at Amman International Airport, 51%-owned by Groupe ADP, fell by -63.1% in March and is down by -21.1% since the beginning of the year. Amman Airport has been closed for commercial traffic since 17 March.
