Perfumer’s Workshop International extends Samba Metallics range

Niche fragrance specialist Perfumer’s Workshop International (PWI) will showcase its extended Samba Metallica portfolio at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore (Stand: U 12).

According to PWI, the range, which was launched in travel retail last year, has been “extremely” successful. Listings so far include in Thailand with A&J Beauty Products and in Malaysia through Innovation Lifestyle. Distribution in Indonesia is expected to begin soon.

Perfumer’s Workshop International Founder Donald Bauchner said: “Since the launch of the Samba Metallics range last year we have seen an encouraging amount of interest in the fragrances, which we are thrilled about. With the category becoming increasingly overcrowded we thought releasing a range that stands out from the competition was vital if we were to attract customers in this tough market.

“These two new fragrances offer travellers great quality, gorgeous scents, but at a low price-point (US$35), which is very rare in the category as most fragrance brands are known for easily being US$60 plus.”

Samba Ruby and Samba Amber: newcomers to the Perfumer’s Workshop International range

Samba Ruby, 100ml edp, was developed by Perfumer Gil Claven who aimed to create the “most sensual, and sultry interpretation” of the precious stone, according to PWI. The scent is said to offer a lasting impression through freshness, floral tones and warmth. Top notes of nectarine and strawberry pulp contrast with anise and purple dahlia, while benzoin and sandalwood orchid add sensuality to offer a “luxurious fragrance experience”, noted the brand.

Samba Amber, 100ml edt, was created by Perfumer Ilias Ermenidis with the idea of enhancing the warmth of amber with masculine ingredients such as bourbon and leather. Described as a “rich and enticing” fragrance, it offers a blend of bergamot and cinnamon and a heart of juniper and nutmeg.

The Samba Metallics range was developed following the creation of PWI’s ‘See Fast – Buy Fast’ concept. The full range includes Samba Gold Woman, Samba Platinum Man, Samba Pink Woman and Samba Steel Man.

“Asia is a very important region for PWI, so we are once again excited to be exhibiting at TFWA Asia Pacific. Shows like this are a key part of our travel retail strategy, as they enable us to meet with potential new customers, which is key for us to be able to expand our distribution in this key region,” Bauchner concluded.
