Halloween Blue Drop: the softer side of the Halloween fragrance franchise |
Perfumes Y Diseño has updated its J del Pozo Halloween fragrance franchise with a timely new introduction, called Halloween Blue Drop. It was among the novelties presented at last month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
The fragrance, on-counter now, is particularly well-suited to Asian doors, according to the company. The woody/spicy juice, composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani, opens on notes of citrus, green apple and lavender, atop a heart of jasmine, violet and white flowers. The base blends amber, musk and cinnamon.
The signature Halloween flacon has been updated with a pastel “sugar blue” hue and, for the first time, is frosted, to emphasise the concept of softness. The base of the bottle and the cap are coloured a matte silver.
The outer carton is also silver, decorated with flowers in tones of pink and purple. The advertising visual echoes this colour-scheme with a watercolour painting effect.
Meanwhile for male consumers, Perfumes Y Diseño presented J del Pozo’s Halloween Man fragrance at Cannes, which taps into the trend for sexy supernaturals, as championed by film/TV offerings such as Twilight and True Blood. The advertising strapline is “Beware of Yourself”.

The oriental juice opens on notes of Apple Martini, violet leaves, basil and mandarin, atop a heart of ginger, cinnamon, lavender and orange blossom. The base blends leather, musk, amber and vanilla.
The fragrance is presented in a deep purple cylindrical glass bottle with a silver stopper. It is available as a 75ml and 125ml edt.
