FRANCE/TURKEY. Pernod Ricard Travel Retail his week unveiled the new Olmeca Altos tequila at Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
The Olmeca tequila line extension will be exclusive to the travel retail sector and retailers ATU and Gebr Heinemann until autumn 2009.
The launch will be followed by a series of in-store tastings throughout September and October to encourage consumers to trial and trade up. The new product will retail for the equivalent of €24 at Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe Head of Marketing John Smailes commented: “We are very pleased to be launching the exciting new, premium reference, Olmeca Altos, this summer in Istanbul.
“Turkey is a key market for the Olmeca brand and we are delighted to be working with our retail partners ATU and Gebr Heinemann on this exclusive pre-launch.”
Olmeca Altos will roll out at Moscow Sheremetyevo and Moscow Vnukovo airports in October.
