SWITZERLAND. Frédérique Constant has been chosen as one of the three watch brands within British Airways’ new inflight retail concept, “˜Premium Shop!’
From 1 November, the Swiss brand’s stainless steel Persuasion automatic watch features in a range of 16 premium products available to be ordered inflight for delivery direct to the customer’s chosen address. Open to all passenger classes, the “˜Premium Shop’ mini brochure is bound within the long haul “˜High Life Shop’ catalogue.
“We are delighted to be part of this concept that brings a new dimension to inflight sales,” commented Frédérique Constant Travel Retail Consultant Paul Martin. “For too long, airlines have been constrained by price and space – now there is a viable alternative that allows brands to reach an even more exclusive market.”
He added: “The consumer’s average purchase price of Frédérique Constant has risen sharply over the last few years and British Airways’ ‘Premium Shop’ gives us a great opportunity to follow this trend inflight.”
The stainless steel Persuasion automatic has a scratchproof sapphire crystal front and back, Croco-Calf strap, Swiss automatic mechanical movement date, 38-hour power reserve, water resistance to six atmospheres and a two-year international guarantee. Travel retail price is £350.
