Pet-sonality Profile with Tito’s Handmade Vodka: Meet Daniel Levin and Garfield

Want to talk about your pet subject?

*If you would like to feature (with your pet) in a forthcoming edition of this regular column, please contact Colleen Morgan at Colleen@MoodieDavittReport.com

The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to bring you the latest edition in our Pet-sonality Profile column, in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

In this regular fun feature, we discover more about travel retail pet-sonalities, their back stories, traits and habits, as well as offering some insights into their owners. Each pet-sonality is also painted digitally by pets and equine artist Sami Moodie.

In this edition we meet Travel Blue Group Managing Director Daniel Levin and Garfield, his water-loving Golden Retriever.

Name: Garfield.

Breed: Golden Retriever.

How old is Garfield? He’s 11 years old.

A quiet father and son moment: Garfield with his dad, Sol

How did you meet? Rather like me, Garfield is second generation and we have been together since he was six weeks old.

Love at first sight? For sure. I can’t even describe my feelings when I first saw him. Golden Retriever puppies can be addictive.

Life’s a beach for water-loving Garfield

Any quirky habits? Garfield loves water. Give him any opportunity and he will come back wet.

Funniest and/or nicest moment? Best moment has to be driving in a convertible. Garfield sits in the seat next to me and is definitely ‘King of the Road’.

Garfield’s happy place: Ready for a spin in the convertible

Favourite trick? And treat? No trick as such but he loves hardboiled eggs. Believe it or not, if he hears one being peeled, he stands at attention… and waits.

Does Garfield have a social media account? I tried that years ago, but he was becoming more popular than me, so I had to stop.

If Garfield could talk what would be his first words? I hope they would be ‘I love you too’.

Flying or not, Garfield is always quick to model his favourite Travel Blue pillow

Favourite airport/airline? No favourite airport, and to fly it’s complicated for a large dog as the process isn’t pleasant. I would happily buy him a business ticket if he could fly onboard and not as cargo.

Anything else we should know? I will ‘steal’ the words of W.R. Purche to answer this one: “Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong”. ✈
