INTERNATIONAL. P&G Prestige is to expand its luxury Baldessarini fragrance portfolio with new scent, called Baldessarini Ambré. It is scheduled to go on-counter from February next year.
Described as ultra-exclusive, masculine and elegant, the new scent concept revolves around relaxed confidence, according to P&G. The price points will be in line with the original Baldessarini del Mar (for example €65 for the 90ml edt spray).
The Baldessarini Ambré juice is the first to be constructed around a whisky accord, claims P&G Prestige. This is complemented by top notes of mandarin and red apple, leading to a heart of violet, offset by a leather accord.
As the fragrance name suggests, the base is a blend of amber notes, enhanced with oakwood, vanilla and labdanum.
In line with its luxury positioning, the packaging is prestige. The flacon is square, and shows off the amber-coloured juice. It is topped with a 70g Zamac cap, reportedly one of the heaviest ever. Both the bottle and the outer carton feature an amber “horizon” motif.
The full product line-up comprises a 50ml and 90ml edt spray, a 50ml and 90ml after shave splash, a 75ml after shave balm, a 150ml shower gel, a 75g deo stick and a 150g deo spray.
The advertising campaign again features Charles Schumann, the face of Baldessarini fashion and of Baldessarini del Mar. In the background is a private jet (in place of the superyacht for the first fragrance) and a woman in evening dress.
