P&G Prestige Products goes platinum at Trinity Forum; speakers’ line-up continues to strengthen – 10/01/08

CHINA. P&G Prestige Products has signed as a Platinum (lead) sponsor of The ACI Airport Business & Trinity Forum, to be held in Shanghai on 31 March-2 April.

The agreement maintains a proud track record for the beauty house which has been a lead sponsor of every Trinity Forum since the event’s inception in 2003. ‘Trinity’ has emerged as the world’s most influential conference on airport commercial revenues. Since 2007 it has been a joint venture between The Moodie Report and Airports Council International.

This year’s event is hosted by Shanghai Airport Authority.

The event will feature exclusive film footage of some of the world’s most cutting edge airport commercial developments, produced by Marshall Arts International.

The two-part feature includes Hong Kong International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, ATU (Istanbul, Tblisi and Batumi), Travel Retail Norway (Oslo), Dufry (Brazil, Mexico and Milan), BAA USA (Baltimore), Bangalore International Airport and BAA UK (Heathrow T5). The latter two airports will both have opened just before the event.

The Trinity Forum has caused great excitement in Shanghai, especially as it is being linked to another glamour ACI event – the important ‘ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) and Facilitation Conference’ (31 March & 1 April).

The latter’s ASQ Awards – the most prestigious awards in the airport industry – will be held during a joint conference Gala Dinner on 1 April. This will ensure very strong participation by the world’s leading airports at both events. The elegant Pudong Shangri-La Hotel is the joint Forum and Conference venue.

The Trinity programme will feature a presentation from Shanghai Airport Authority as well as a powerful line-up of leading international names. Incheon International Airport Corporation President and CEO Jae-Hee Lee will deliver an important insight into the South Korean gateway’s evolving approach to non-aeronautical revenues – and its ambitious plans to create new commercial concepts.

Mark Riches, Managing Director of World Duty Free, will speak just after the 27 March opening of the spectacular London Heathrow T5 (either in person in Shanghai or by live feed from Heathrow) to deliver a compelling insight into the brave new world of airport retailing.

New Aelia CEO Jean-Baptiste Morin will weigh in with a personal and corporate reflection on the future of travel retail, in his first speaking commitment since assuming the role. Nick Forbes, General Manager Retail at Auckland International Airport Limited will set the airport company’s decision to open one of the biggest Arrivals shops in the world (1,600sq m) in the context of a ‘business case analysis’ of the industry drivers that drove the decision.

Johan Schölvinck, Airport Economist NACO (Netherlands Airport Consultants) and Innova Aviation and Mr Guo Yanchi, Chief Architect China Airport Construction Group Corporation of CACC will jointly present a fascinating paper themed ‘Urumqi Airport Retail – something different in Northwest China’.

HDS Retail Asia Pacific CEO Scott Raisin will examine how to grow the important news/gifts/speciality sector.
