Philippe Margueritte to succeed Peggy Elsrode at Coty Prestige

Peggy Elsrode, Coty Prestige’s new Senior Vice President Commercial

Philippe Margueritte, currently Regional Vice President Southern Europe Coty Beauty, will join the Coty Prestige organisation as Regional Vice President Travel Retail Worldwide and Latin America Export, effective 1 December.

He replaces Peggy Elsrode who, as previously reported, has been named Senior Vice President Commercial for Coty Prestige, responsible for EMEA, Asia Pacific, Export Europe and Latin America, as well Travel Retail Worldwide.

Both Margueritte and Elsrode will be based in Geneva, Switzerland, at Coty’s recently opened Center of Excellence for Fragrances premises.

Elsrode was most recently Regional Vice President Global Travel Retail & Export, responsible for the worldwide travel retail organisation and distributors markets. In this role, she significantly grew Coty’s premium designer fragrances, such as Marc Jacobs, Chloé, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta, and launched Calvin Klein ck one color, philosophy skin care and OPI nail products. Elsrode joined Coty in 2005, when Coty purchased Unilever Cosmetics International.

Margueritte will report to Elsrode. Before joining Coty in 2003, he worked at L’Oréal, where he held several positions as Country Vice President leading both Personal Care and Consumer Product Divisions. He started his career in Finance and Marketing Development, and has lived in Southern Europe, the US and Latin America.

Margueritte graduated from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (IEP) and holds a Master of Law in International Business from the Sorbonne.
