CANADA. Danish jewellery brand Pilgrim has partnered with Aer Rianta International (ARI) to reveal an animation at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The pop-up draws attention to the brand’s eyewear range with an oversized pair of sunglasses.
The installation will remain in the international terminal for four weeks, spotlighting the sunglasses collection displayed on the stand-alone, dual-facing units. Next to the podium is a branded image-wrapped column, which showcases the range’s lifestyle visuals.

The gender-neutral sunglasses are designed and handmade in Denmark – the majority of the pieces are crafted from recycled material in line with the company’s sustainability commitments.
The sunglasses, which start at CA$79 (US$58.38), feature polarised lenses and UV400 protection. The pieces can be purchased with silver and gold-plated sunglasses chains.
ARI Global Head of Fashion & Accessories Richard Maynes said: “We have been stocking Pilgrim sunglasses for over a year and are delighted by the response from customers.
“We invited Pilgrim to create something different and eye-catching for our promotional space. The oversized pair of sunglasses stands out in a world of complex visuals.”
Pilgrim Head of Travel Retail Louise Rohde remarked: “We have produced an installation that represents our contemporary design ethos and exudes style and personality.
“These giant sunglasses make a statement that represents our commitment to creating products that are both fashionable and functional. They symbolise adventure, sun-soaked getaways and the essence of travelling in style. They’re not just a pair of sunglasses, they embody the experience we want our customers to enjoy.
“This sunglasses event with ARI ensures that travellers not only see our brand but experience it in a way that sets us apart.”
As reported, the brand unveiled its 2024 travel retail-exclusive jewellery and sunglasses collections at the Tax Free World Association World Exhibition in October. ✈
