Pinko opens first US airport store at Pittsburgh with Airmall and Airest

Italian fashion house Pinko has made its US airport debut, opening a 68sq m store at Pittsburgh International Airport’s new Center Core airside retail area.

The opening is Pinko’s third with Airest Collezioni after stores at Dublin and Venice airports. As reported, Airest Collezioni struck a seven-year deal with Pittsburgh Airport retail developer Airmall to operate eight stores in the new retail zone.

The store’s range comprises 65% ready-to-wear and 35% accessories, Pinko told The Moodie Report.

“After this first test, given the excellent results, we intend to invest in American travel retail,” the company said.

As reported, the US$10 million Center Core was inaugurated last week. It comprises nine new stores, most of them from fashion brands.
