USA. Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has announced plans to open its first independent airport lounge in the US at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Located in the domestic terminal, it will accommodate up to 59 guests in 14,000sq ft of space. Plaza Premium has been present in North America since 2007 when it opened at Toronto Pearson International.
The Dallas Fort Worth lounge will feature hot and cold dishes that rotate daily, accompanied by a wide range of beverages with highlights including local and imported beers, wines from California and Italian coffee from Lavazza. Operating daily from 4.30am to 8pm, the lounge will include 3-D artwork representing Texas.

A second, larger, Plaza Premium Lounge will open later in 2020 in Dallas Fort Worth’s international terminal, along with one planned for Denver International Airport.
Hong Kong-headquartered Plaza Premium recently made its first foray into the US market with the opening of Allways, its airport meet-and-greet service, also at Dallas Forth Worth International. The new lounges and the expansion of the Allways service are part of the company’s US$100 million global expansion planned across 2020 and 2021.

The company’s airport lounges now cover 160 facilities across 44 international airports. It has close links with airlines, managing and operating lounges on behalf of the likes of Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. The company’s other businesses interests include Aerotel, a chain of in-terminal airport hotels.
