Polaroid expands partnership with The Nuance Group

INTERNATIONAL. The Nuance Group has significantly increased its distribution of the Polaroid Eyewear brands, Polaroid sunglasses (for adults and kids), Disney Premium and Hello Kitty Premium.

Having sold Polaroid Eyewear in Swiss airport outlets for over 15 years, the retailer has introduced the brand into locations in Sweden, Hamburg Airport in Germany, plus the UK and – most recently – Toulouse in France.

Additionally, following its first showing at the TFWA World Exhibition last year, Polaroid added the Nuance-Watson account in Hong Kong and distribution with Nuance in Turkey. Polaroid sunglasses are selling “extremely well” in both locations, the company added.

In Australia, Polaroid is selling via its distributor, Sunshades, and Nuance continues to include Polaroid in all its new store refits.

The Nuance Group AG Senior Buyer Luxury Hardgoods Dimitra Carlucci said: “We have been very impressed by the uptake of Polaroid Eyewear sunglasses in our stores – both the adults and kid’s ranges. The styles are very on trend and the price points are perfect for our customers. The overall quality and polarised lenses are big plus points in promoting Polaroid sunglasses to travellers.”

Nuance Watson (HK) General Manager for General Merchandise, Boutiques and Specialties, Clarice Au added: “Fashion accessories make significant contributions to our business and sunglasses are a growing category, so we are constantly looking to expand our product offers in this area.
