Police launches 2015 sunglasses campaign fronted by Neymar Jr

Leading eyewear company De Rigo Vision SpA has announced the continuation of Neymar Jr as the face of Italian fashion and lifestyle brand Police for the second consecutive year. The Brazilian footballer will model new Police sunglasses in six styled shots promoting the 2015 sun collection.

The brand noted that Neymar Jr is “one of the most recognisable faces in the world”, adding that “his talent and skill on the football pitch, coupled with his humble and humorous attitude off it, make him a figure of respect to both young and old in all continents.” The sports icon joins the ranks of Bruce Willis, George Clooney, David Beckham and Antonio Banderas as Police brand ambassadors.

Neymar Jr commented: “For me, it was a pleasure to do this campaign again. I really liked the style of the shoot and thought the motorcycle and clothes combined well with the new sunglasses.”

The global campaign, shot by UK portrait and fashion photographer Rankin, is set to launch across multi-channel platforms including print, outdoor media and social platforms. The campaign also features Mexican model Daniela de Jesus.

For Spring/Summer 2015, Police channels an urban attitude, inspired by the brand’s more distinctive elements to present silhouettes with “strong personality and trend-led styling”. Frame shapes unify the past and present, the brand said, with multi-coloured acetates, transparencies and fashion tones on classic silhouettes.
