ITALY. Police, best known for its sunglasses, is introducing three new functional watches in time for the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes this month.
The brand owner’s new designs have been developed to meet consumers’ changing lifestyles with features such as a world map integrated into the dial or a chronograph function.
Glamour World is a women’s watch with a rectangular case that frames a sparkling world map made of cubic zirconia. The watch is available in pink, brown or black. Police has only recently begun targeting women due to customer demand; 65% of its target market is men.
The rectangular Matrix men’s watch comes in two colour schemes: black with orange or cream with brown. It is finished with a black or brown leather strap, decorated with an orange or cream stripe, depending on the scheme.
The Sail watch, targeted at the sporty cosmopolitan male, features black or silver dials combined with a chronograph dial, and is water-resistant up to 100m.
The duty free price for Glamour World is €109 (US$131) and Sail is €125 (US$150). Duty free price points for Police watches are generally between €75 (US$90) to €170 (US$204).
Police is also showcasing its latest sunglasses and men’s jewellery collections at the show.
