Porsche Design will launch a special-edition collection of its P’8531 model this September.
The collection will be available exclusively in China Duty Free Group’s (CDFG) downtown stores and airport locations. These include Haitang Bay, Beijing Capital International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and Haikou Meilan International Airport.
The P’8531 style is Porsche Design’s bestselling model at China Duty Free Group. The new limited-edition design features a mercury silver mirror, a new lens colour, and a special engraving that says ‘CDFG Exclusive’.

Porsche Design will only be releasing 500 pairs of the travel retail exclusive eyewear range. Each pair will feature an engraved serial number from 001 to 500, emphasising the exclusivity of the collection.
According to Eckhardt-Koestler, the launch is part of the brand’s wider strategy to offer travel retail exclusives in China and other key areas in the channel. She said: “China and the other locations where the sunglasses will be available are part of our long-term travel retail plans, and we believe that an exclusive model like this can strengthen our presence in these markets.”
