US. Port Columbus International Airport has introduced ten new touch-screen directories to its terminal, providing passengers with information on dining and retail concessions.
Passengers can access hours of operation and walking directions for each concession directly on the screen or through their mobile device using a QR code.
The directories are located pre- and post-security throughout the three concourses, the ticketing level and baggage claim area.

The airport partnered with kiosk builder Meridian, Hansen Creative, and Hewlett-Packard to design the various features, which also include weather forecasts and a photograph-taking tool allowing passengers to add a border and email the image to friends.
The kiosks also help tourists find local information by connecting to the websites of the airport’s community partners, ExperienceColumbus and Discover Ohio.
Columbus Regional Airport Authority Customer Service Manager Mark Mulchaey said: “The Port Columbus team is pleased to offer customers a tool that is truly tailored to their individual needs. With the enhanced technology for wayfinding, we aim to make manoeuvring the airport a bit easier just as many are preparing for the hectic holiday season.”
Serving more than 6.3 million passengers a year, Port Columbus provides more than 140 daily departures to 32 airports. Carriers include Air Canada Express, AirTran, American, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airways.
