La Martiniquaise-owned Porto Cruz has launched a travel retail-exclusive edition, Cruz Heritage, to mark the brand’s 130th anniversary.
Cruz Heritage, priced at €120, is available now at Porto and Lisbon airports.
According to the brand, the old tawny port is the result of a subtle and balanced blend of the best Cruz port wines from the last four decades. The liquid, described as elegant and sweet, offers notes of dried almond and fig, candied oranges and subtly spicy aromas such as cinnamon and pink pepper.

Porto Cruz recommends serving Cruz Heritage lightly chilled and pairing with almond pie, apple crumble or crème brûlée.
Porto Cruz held a gala dinner at the famous Palacia Da Bolsa in Porto on 22 September to celebrate its 130th anniversary. The President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and Portuguese artists attended the event.
Two original pieces of artwork were unveiled at the gala, created in honour of the anniversary. Sculptor Rodrigo Oliveira and street artist Tamara Alves reinterpreted the Douro landscape and Porto Cruz’s the Woman in Black icon, respectively.
