ITALY. Italian companies Principe and The Sixty Group have signed a three-year licensing agreement for the worldwide launch of Energie accessories for Spring/Summer 2006.

Principe will design the Energie brand’s first-ever accessories collection, consisting of belts, body-bags, briefcases, travel bags and wallets.

Created in the early 80’s, the Energie brand is aimed at young men and characterised by distinctive inventiveness and unconventionality, according to the company.

The Sixty Group, which includes Miss Sixty, Murphy & Nye and Refrigiwear fashion brands, has an estimated turnover of €645 million for 2005 and a distribution network that covers more than 90 countries, with around 7,000 points of sale and 250 single-brand shops, both retail and franchised.

Licensee of several fashion brands for ten years, Principe also produces and markets its own men’s and women’s collections. The company, now celebrating its 50th year, is interested in forging further partnerships. The Energie brand is its latest challenge, it said.
