PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Prouds Duty Free has hailed the impact of its upgraded shopping offer at Port Moresby Jacksons International Airport, introduced 17 months ago.
The leading Fiji-based duty free retailer manages arrivals and departures stores at the Papua New Guinea gateway. These were officially opened by the country’s Prime Minister Peter O’Neill in July 2015.
“The past 17-months has been very exciting and challenging for us,” said Prouds PNG Manager Kiran Rathod.
“The timing of our official opening last year coincided with the launching of the 2015 Pacific Games which PNG hosted. It was a great way to start business in the fastest growing Pacific nation,” Rathod added.

He claimed that Prouds now delivers a much improved shopping experience for travellers.
“Aligned with the latest international duty free & travel retail trends, we carry major brands of liquor, tobacco, fragrances, confectionery, watches and jewellery.
“With the wide range of international brands, travellers are able to purchase with confidence and get value for their money,” said Rathod.
