Spirits distributor Proximo is set to launch the third edition from Bushmills’ The Steamship Collection and The Kraken I SCREAM at TFWA World Exhibition (16, Bay Village).
The new Bushmills variant is the latest edition in the travel retail-exclusive collection inspired by the voyages of the SS Bushmills steamship.
Proximo Global Travel Retail Director David Phelan said: “Given that Irish whiskey is one of the fastest-growing spirits in the world and its revival as a true Irish success story, the TFWA trade show is a great opportunity to strengthen the presence of Bushmills Irish Whiskey across key airports globally.
“Following the successful launch of Port Cask Reserve in 2016 and Sherry Cask Reserve in 2015, The Steamship Collection has become a firm favourite among discerning travel retail consumers and we are excited to unveil the third expression at Cannes, as well as letting customers sample the collection.”
The Kraken I SCREAM, claimed to be the UK’s first alcoholic pure black ice cream, will be served at The Scene nightclub which is open during TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
Phelan added: “We’re delighted to bring The Kraken I SCREAM cart to TFWA this year. This rock-inspired cart twists and flips the traditional essence of the summertime ice cream van on its head, serving the deepest black ice cream which tastes of The Kraken Black Spiced Rum with a distinctive, bold, rich and smooth finish. It’s the perfect devilish treat for those looking to experience something different at Cannes.”
