Puig and Paco Rabanne unveil Black XS Be A Legend

To celebrate 10 years of the Black XS masterbrand, Puig has created the new limited-edition Black XS Be A Legend line. It was launched in European travel retail in January and is rolling out this month to Americas and Middle East travel retail.

In line with the name and concept, the ad campaign is fronted by rock legends Iggy Pop and Debbie Harry, whose paths first crossed in the 70s.

Black XS Be A Legend For Her aims to represent uniqueness, power and purity, according to the brand – qualities that make a legend. The juice, composed by Émilie Coppermann, includes notes of hellebore (the only rose that flowers in winter), black vanilla, patchouli and oud. The recommended retail price-point is €47 for the 50ml edt and €56 for the 80ml edt.

The limited-edition Be A Legend line began its travel retail roll-out last month

Black XS Be A Legend for Him, nosed by Fabrice Pellegrin, pairs notes of leather and smoky cistus with lemon, cinnamon, cypriol, honey and orange blossom. It is priced at €53 for 100ml.

The packaging for the limited editions sports brighter colours and more rounded corners. The original purple shade of the women’s fragrance flacon has been updated with a lacquered pink, highlighted by black chalk calligraphy. The men’s bottle features a matte black colour scheme, offset with a pop of blue.
