Puig captures the heat of the desert with Invictus & Olympéa Legend fragrances

Following the success of Paco Rabanne’s Invictus Olympéa Universe, Puig has launched Invictus and Olympéa Legend. Introduced simultaneously, the new edt and edp are now available in Europe travel retail, followed by a global roll-out in coming months.

According to Puig, the new Legends fragrances embody ‘the heat of the desert’ and take inspiration from the ‘spirit needed to defeat an enemy’.

Jumping off from the memorable signatures of the original Invictus and Olympéa fragrances, the Legends fragrances take a deeper look at these olfactory traits and add a layer of contrasting notes.

Invictus Legend begins with the original fragrance’s signature laurel scent, balanced with geranium, salty grapefruit, and guaiac wood notes; resulting in a fragrance that is both spicy and fresh.

Similarly, Olympéa Legend also plays with olfactory dualities, featuring a singular dual accord of vanilla, salty plum, and ginger flower.

The bottles reflect the same elevated spirit as the fragrances, reworking memorable design details but with thoughtful alterations. The Invictus Legend bottle features a darker shade of blue, while still keeping its signature trophy shape. Olympéa Legend also features darker pink hues, which are complemented by feminine copper laurels.

The Invictus and Olympéa Legend campaign features the return of Invictus’s original duo. Former professional rugby player and model Nick Youngquest is the face of Invictus Legend, while model and womens’ rights advocate Luma Grothe is the face of Olympéa Legend.

The ad campaign was directed by François Rousselet who created a striking scene amidst the background of Namibia’s red desert. In the campaign, Nick Youngquest and Luma Grothe are caught in a race against time and nature, only finding victory through each other’s welcome support.

Launched in tandem, Invictus Legend and Olympéa Legend is the fourth range extension from Paco Rabanne’s Invictus Olympéa Universe, and is now available in Europe travel retail.
