Puig marks launch of Good Girl Blush with NFT activation in Madrid and Rio de Janeiro

Puig has unveiled a first-of-a-kind non-fungible token (NFT) activation at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas and Rio de Janeiro–Antonio Carlos Jobim airports to support the release of Carolina Herrera’s latest fragrance, Good Girl Blush.

Titled ‘The Beauty Travel Capsule’, the NFT collection is available exclusively at these airports for a limited time. Crafted by the Metaverse luxury house Auroboros, the digital assets showcase captivating artwork that draws inspiration from the new scent.

Carolina Herrera has employed an innovative mechanism for NFT distribution – a physical machine resembling an ATM dispenses the NFTs. This allows travellers to receive their unique digital NFT alongside a printed souvenir marking their visit.

To ensure accessibility, the brand is using Owalt Wallet, a non-custodial NFT wallet that travellers can instantly create using their phone numbers. Once holders receive their digital collectibles, they can access the NFT at any time on the Owalt mobile application or website and receive direct push notifications from Carolina Herrera.

As a result of this collaboration, NFT holders will gain privileged entry to an exclusive Beauty Travel Discord Channel and a private Web3 Masterclass led by the designers. Additionally, owners will have access to the WOW3 programme which includes physical and virtual events, a technical global job platform, as well as a weekly podcast and newsletter. NFT-owners will automatically be inducted into the Carolina Herrera Beauty Travel Community and receive exclusive communications from the brand.

The design ethos of the NFTs is centred on female empowerment and symbolises the transformative movement shaping the world. Carolina Herrera said its partnership with Auroboros represents the convergence of two organisations devoted to realising a more equitable and inclusive world.

Good Girl Blush explores modern womanhood with its floral fragrance, sealed in a pink version of the brand’s classic stiletto bottle. The feminine scent contrasts two extractions of a vanilla base with a peony heart – created using two distinct forms of ylang ylang and upcycled rosewater. It is 100% vegan and features sustainably-sourced vanilla and ylang ylang.

Puig Executive VP Global Travel Retail Kaatje Noens said, “This first-of-a-kind initiative from Carolina Herrera takes the traveller experience to the next level with an engaging activation that aims to empower women.

“Both the activation and the new fragrance epitomise Puig’s goal to help consumers further their wellness, confidence and self-expression and we invite travellers at Madrid–Barajas and Rio de Janeiro–Antonio Carlos Jobim airports to indulge themselves in all that the Good Girl Blush universe has to offer.”
