QATAR. Qatar Duty Free and luxury French-Italian brand Moncler have opened a pop-up boutique at Hamad International Airport (HIA). It is the first dedicated Moncler store in Qatar.
Located in the main departures hall, and situated behind the Lamp Bear, the pop-up Moncler boutique is said to be reminiscent of some of Europe’s leading snow resorts.
The store houses Moncler’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessory collection, along with the luxury brand’s signature down jackets.
The boutique marks the beginning of a larger presence for Moncler at Qatar Duty Free; the brand will open a permanent stand-alone store in early 2017.
Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Luis Gasset said: “Moncler is a globally renowned brand that’s synonymous with quality and style, and it is this same brand synergy that forms a natural partnership between Qatar Duty Free and Moncler.
“Both brands share the same vision for adventure and provide global travellers with unrivalled levels of quality and luxury, and I am thrilled to be able to offer our travellers this exciting boutique store, followed by Qatar’s first ever permanent Moncler store which will be unveiled in 2017.”
The Moncler pop-up store complements Qatar Duty Free’s luxury retail line-up, noted Qatar Duty Free. It should also appear to travellers on flights from Hamad International to winter and adventure destinations, Qatar Duty Free said.
