
SINGAPORE. Highly regarded travel retail executive Raelene Johnson has become Chief Commercial Officer for the Singapore Airlines-controlled travel retail business KrisShop Pte.
KrisShop is the Singaporean carrier‘s flagship travel retail store. It lists over 2,000 products inflight and on KrisShop.com, serving some 30 million travellers (including sister carriers SilkAir and Scoot) from pre- to post-flight.
As revealed by The Moodie Davitt Report, KrisShop Pte is a partnership beween Singapore Airlines (70%), 3Sixty (formerly DFASS Group, with 15%)) and SATS (15%). It operates the KrisShop and Scootalogue retail programmes out of Singapore, having launched operations on 1 December 2018.
The joint venture covers inflight duty free and ground-based duty paid sales, as well as pre-order services, with onboard and ground-based deliveries. The technological platform has been developed in conjunction with AOE, the aviation world’s leading non-aeronautical revenues digitalisation company.
Ms Johnson was formerly Vice President Global Merchandising for Korean travel retailer The Shilla Duty Free, a role she assumed in May 2015. There she had responsibility for the core categories of fragrances, cosmetics, liquor and tobacco.
Before that she worked for Nuance Australia (now owned by Dufry), where she was responsible for the Buying & Merchandise functions for the retailer’s Australian duty free operations. Earlier, Ms Johnson worked at Burberry and DFS Group.
