NEW ZEALAND/IRELAND. John Reynolds, our latest readers’ competition dedicated to the three-test rugby series between New Zealand and Ireland.
John not only came closest on points differential to predicting the 32-22 Irish victory in the deciding third test (he opted for 28-24 to Ireland) but also, like Ireland, won the overall series with the closest predictions overall.
Walsh Whiskey kindly offered readers the chance to win four fabulous bottles of Irish whiskey via a score prediction in each test and a superb overall series prize.
John wins a bottle of The Irishman Caribbean Cask Finish for the closest third test prediction and the limited-edition Writers Tears’ Cask St. 2022) for best overall series performance.
There were plenty of writers tears of another kind from one side of The Moodie Davitt Report ownership with Kiwi Martin Moodie’s emotions feeling all black after the debacle of his team’s performance and Irishman Dermot Davitt positively jigging with joy around the streets of Galway.
Thanks to all those who entered and to Walsh Whiskey for putting up the following fantastic prizes.

- Second test: Writers’ Tears Double Oak (right)
