INDIA. The refurbishment of a 773sq m Plaza Premium Lounge at GMR Hyderabad International Airport has been completed. Located in the domestic departures area, it can accommodate more than 220 passengers.
Open 24 hours, seven days a week, the enhanced lounge is equipped with work stations for travellers, wifi, flight information on multiple screens, a private seating zone for VIPs and extensive comfortable seating, including reclining chairs.
Newly-introduced to the lounge is a massage and wellness offer, which the airport noted that, along with all other areas, is safe and sanitised. Shower facilities are also available.
The lounge offers panoramic view of the airport runway, and a bar offers world class brands of liquor, and cocktail and mocktail options. The dining area features a wide range of buffet food.
Zonal music control, ambient temperature settings for enhanced comfort and special chairs for children are some of the new features of the lounge.
The airport said that special care has been taken in the design to keep in mind special assistance passengers. A baby care facility and exclusive washroom facility for passengers with reduced mobility are also in place.
