R&F Travel Retail acquires Nordic Beverage Company

SWEDEN. Stena Line affiliate company R&F Travel Retail has acquired Nordic Beverage Company, a regional player in the wine and spirits industry. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The travel retailer and distributor – which operates stores in locations including Cologne Bonn Airport – described the deal as “a big growth bet” and said it will drive expansion into the Swedish domestic beverage market.

Nordic Beverage Company was established four years ago and currently distributes own brands including flavoured gluten-free shot drinks Polka the Pig and Lucyfur, and Nomie Gin (in Orange & Ginger and Rosehip & Mint flavours). It also holds exclusive distribution rights for a number of international brands.
